X1900gt vista

The software solution is CPU intensive. The beyond tv webadmin console buggers up the TV, so I tend to saty out of it. Hi, I'm not sure if I bought an All in wonder card or only a Video Card, but y think it is all in wonder because it has a lot of cables, like S- Video, the 3 normal ports like for a DVD and 2 more cables.

Can someone help me please, i'm not sure if this is all in wonder, but i'm almost sure that yes. My Video card have 3 ports back, 2 for monitors and in the middle, one like S-Video but it's not S-Video, it's very similar. Well, I am not going to stand for this any longer and legal action will follow. You have a right to nothing from Microsoft! You have the right to not buy their product if you choose. Why don't the Canadians make their own OS? I'm in the same boat as you.

My All in wonder X is not fully supported in Vista either and that makes me mad also. Microsoft has no obligation to cater to anyone's rights. Especially Canadians. Just have Canada block all MS products at the border. They make a product, Buy it or don't buy it. It's that simple. I myself don't remember any of those claims. I like a lot of people did assume that ATI would eventuall supply drivers and software that would support the TV tuner in Vista.

Why would one think otherwise? It has always happened in the past. If it turns out that Microsoft could do something for all of us and help out ATI, I would hope they will step up to the plate. But the truth is they are in no way obligated to do so. A lawsuit is crazy talk. I don't see this as a software issue, it seems more like a will issue. Take a stand, we shall unite, all we wanted was drivers and support, now we're after your companies.

Any petitions that go out, please let me know as I will support you. When I complained, ATI in short said they did not care. I have thrown in the towel. I have found the Answer , here is what I end up doing.. I will never buy from ati again. Good move! And Nvidia are releasing their series very soon! I would not suggest that this is by any means misleading but it does annoy me that they have not taken down the AIW product pages -- or at least moved them to the discontinued section OR at least specify that it has been discontinued on the product page.

I've read some statements that seem to be saying that the customers should be responsible for either expecting too much or wanting too much with respect to the AIW -- Vista issue. For me; the way I look at it is I had purchased a rather expensive video card third AIW for me -- and last ATI product for the specific features that are advertised on it. I don't care that ATI has discontinued the video card' I believe that they still have the responsibility to maintain drivers and software that supply the ability to use the features their product had been advertised with.

Just to keep current customers happy and loyal. My little rant. It's a bad feeling when you feel that you are being left out in the rain; but I guess that's business; just accept and move on. Some whose only product line consists of one product spent all that time working on drivers and still some legacy products don't work , other just don't have the time and resources to dedicate to older products.

This happened with XP too, a ton of products were left behind due to drivers. Those of you who switched to nV are just like those who foreswore nV and switch to AMD, as if either were any better.

Those of you in the know should've switched to Hauppauge if anything as they support more of but not all of their legacy hardware in Vista because that's ALL they do. Yeah and what a dissapointment that was. GF9 series in name only, and obviously you guys giving kudos to nV missed all their issues with Vista.

Buy an S3 if you want to make a serious protest intel's not clean , but then again me thinks you guys were going to buy whatever performed best anyways and just needed this as an excuse to do so. There are work arounds, but like all legacy hardware you have to make it work with what they give you, not try to demand functionality in an environment not explicitly supported.

Come on Microsoft and AMD, get this right.

This hardware wasn't cheap and there was no warning that this would happen. Saturday, February 10, AM. This is a outrage, not only was the card expensive, the Vista software was totally over priced!!!!!!!!! Sunday, February 11, PM. Wednesday, February 21, AM. Wednesday, February 21, PM. Regards, Adam. Saturday, February 24, PM. I am so Pissed that they can just pull the support for card I spent big bucks on. Didn't even think twice that they could not support such a high end line. I will join the lawsuit.

Sunday, February 25, AM. Tuesday, February 27, PM. Which, in the end it would be easy to sue these American companies for failing to comply with us end users, all the false advertising they have done about the card s All-In-Wonders operating under Microsoft Windows Vista etc. More less Microsoft would have to make us a version of Vista that would not include DRM technology as it does not comply with our laws, or they can face my legal action s against them for such reasons as "Assuming I'm a pirate" and so on.

Last I checked no one can lock you up or punish you for crimes they think you might commit. Nice to think that those American cheese eating silk garment wearing, wine drinking throwbacks think all of us are pirates and the find ways to forcefully mess with my rights. Please people, email this entire post, from all of us to all your friends, family and co-workers as a display that the media and major companies like Microsoft, Intel etc. The media have no right to police us, that is why we have government representatives, like the police and media and politicians who decide if we are guilty of breaking laws.

Major companies of the world, since you are too busy protecting all the lame artists of the world, like Backstreet Twinks etc.

Piracy ain't gonna go away, no matter what you put into something it can be removed, and just because you say I'm a pirate with no merit by forcing me to use DRM if I choose to use a product does not give you the rights to take away my rights and freedoms I was lucky enough to be born into a country to have.

Any questions or comments email me. Join in on fighting the oppressors of our rights, please email this post to your friends, family and co-workers in our support.

Oh, and thank you DRM enforcing corporate puppets who have so nicely become the volunteer police force of the technology age, you truly are knights of shining reason and example. Wednesday, February 28, AM. Add me to the list of unhappy users who spent hundreds for their high-end AIW video card and hundreds more for their Vista only to be jerked by the 2 corporate giants. Wednesday, February 28, PM. Hey this is a big point with me, I do a TV show in Canada about computers.

If you are into doing a online or phone interview on our show let me know. Here is the Message I sent them. We need to gather all upset AIW users that are in this Vista back hole. I will post this on my Board , be sure to get the pot stirring forum letters will not cut it. All-in-Wonder users, I would like to spread a little information regarding this issue, you might find this very interesting. They currently are in the works of having to determine is biting the hand that feeds them Microsoft and pushing out supported drivers from them to use under Vista and keeping us loyal consumers happy with our purchases better than losing future Microsoft contracts?

Sounds like a giant flashing his golden eggs if you know what I mean. Absolutely they will. Who knows they might even claim anymore they already did that DRM laws and Windows Vista can damage the card and it can be returned to us for repair or exchange of an equally similar product Close contacts to Microsoft in various divisions have given me a friendly heads up about what honestly to expect from "Windows XP Service Pack The software patch, which will be publicly released will contain implementations of the DRM technologies found in Windows Vista, to help and identify and solve risks with DRM usage rights Linux sounding better every day isn't it?

So no more downloading patches and content for Windows no more So punish us for being pirates, last I checked transferring my home movies from my camcorder through Component video cables to my PC for editing and archival purposes, or using my PC as a TV while I compute and being able to play my video game consoles through my PC to the monitor was not piracy. Nice to see they are too busy being the new police force of the digital age isn't it?

And many thanks to Les Shaw for jumping on our bandwagon! Keep us informed in regards to what the puppets might or might not tell you, and I will be keep on researching and informing all us angry end users too, as a consumer and an advocate. Thursday, March 1, AM. I'm right there with all of you. What about that bright colorful Vista friendly logo on ATI's website? I think someone should be sued. Circuit city will only exchange the card at this point.

And I've been waiting patiently for someone at ATI to pull their head out and post new drivers. Monday, March 5, AM. It has taken me tjree weeks to find someone that will even talk to me about the problem.

I tape my show this Sunday and hope to have a statement. I found someone selling this card used for on our classifieds board. Thursday, March 8, PM. He states it is a Work around and in the PDF a promise to get this issue resloved. If need be I can make it a link somewhere. If anyone can help me, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks, Dan. Saturday, March 17, PM.

Think twice before dropping your hard earned cash. Just like the rest of you, I am very annoyed by the lack of support. I also was trying to find some Vista Ready advertisements for the AIW line but I couldn't find any in my quick search. You might want to see if anyone has their original AIW box, perhaps it has a Vista Ready label on it? That would probably be your best bet, otherwise you'd be getting 3rd party seller adds that wouldn't really be ATI's responsibility.

What I don't like is the several different stories people are getting. Most of the people I have heard that have gone through regular channels I guess customer support? Then there is Les' response here saying that a fix is in the works. I don't really know what to believe I am annoyed but ok with waiting for a fix if there is one in the works, but I do worry about them just not fixing it based on the fact that the AIW line is not a huge majority of customers and since it has already been discontinued.

Those of you who have contacted ATI for responses, how did you go about it? I would like to also go through the process to see what answer I get.

Thanks for the help. Sunday, March 18, PM. You can all count me in too!! Monday, March 19, PM. I really feel screwed and we will not let up until we have a resolustion And the only way to get action is to hit them where they have hit us.. I sent an email to the address you provided asking for some information. What else can we do? I just did too. Tuesday, March 20, AM. Thanks Les Shaw. Wednesday, March 21, PM.

Monday, March 26, PM. Count me in on any class action. I am using an X AIW. Foolish me. Tuesday, March 27, PM. What a shame. I can even not thrust what I spent the most of my economies into!!!! Overall Review: The Board is 9 inches long, I had to move the cables around to make it fit. For some reason this board works great with the driver supplied on Sapphire CD. I tried catalyst 7. Pros: This card performs very well for it's price. Don't be thrown off by the MBs It makes the most of what it's got!

No AA. And it looks just as good if not better! Doom 3 peaks and maxes out at a steady 60 fps at x with high not Ultra default settings. Far Cry averages fps at x with absolutely everything maxed out. Halo: Combat Evolved averages fps at x with absolutely everything maxed out. Quake 4 tops out at 60 fps and stays there at x with high not Ultra default settings. Cons: When the fan kicks on, which it rarely does, it can get loud.

I'd even go as far to say that it's a bit annoying. It's a good thing that it doesn't run constantly. A lot of people think that the lack of DX10 is a con but I honestly don't wish to upgrade to that just yet.

Also, the card is pretty long. If you have a small case, you might have some trouble fitting this card in there. Overall Review: I have a 2. If you have anything like that or better, you can expect similar results.

The above benchmarks are from the overclocked setting. Pros: This is review is for Revision 2 Depending on what price you get it at, it has a good bang for your buck. Will run most games at max settings at x with good frame rates AA is off. Cons: The cards cooler, without a very good case ventilation setup, can be insufficient.

If you plan on oc'ing this card which it won't much it would be wise to invest in an aftermarket cooler. The card itself is cripppled even further from the first version.

This card runs a rxl not a pro and therefor you should not attempt to flash xt bios and unlock the pipelines. It will not work with this card and will fry you new investment. Overall Review: The card was bought at a price that made it a decent deal, otherwise I would have gone for xpro.

It's too bad ATI further injured an already cripppled card. So remember if the price is right, snag it. Cons: if used for gaming or high end video, runs hot, fan even throttles down when heat goes up, in 3d experinces polygon degradation and other failures. Overall Review: save your box, and be happy newegg has 1 yr warranty, sapphire will charge you to send to them after store warranty expires, had to RMA this card twice in 10 months, so flaw persists through revisions,. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg.

This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked. But the drop down menu and Windows 10? The R is of the best prices on. This effect depends on your TV and the computer application you are running. Get the first GPU produced by this. This new driver named the xfvideo-avivo is very early into development, but a small set of developers have been working on reverse engineering this GPU class for the past couple of months.

That combo leaves the Radeon X GT with 6. DriverGuide maintains an extensive archive of Windows drivers available for free download. Its out of warranty and a friend of mine told me he knows a guy who can either fix it or replace it if it cant be repaired anymore for about to USD.

This new hotness is scheduled to hit the virtual shelves of online stores later this week. Learn More - opens in a new window or tab Any international shipping and import charges are paid in part to Pitney Bowes Inc. Cards when you should know much lower cost. Rather belatedly to my definition x The Radeon X products will also help customers prepare for the upcoming Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

During the early days of the dot com boom, our online PC maintenance tools were skyrocketing. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on properties. It ran fine for awhile then over the last month or two I've been having video corruption while running 3D games. Will be repaired anymore for notebooks. But you should know that most of the cores on these cards are with locked quads on hardware level and no BIOS flash can get them back.

Get the moment, and maintenance.
